It’s an ultimate discovery and I just can’t keep it to myself, so I made this review to share the knowledge with the people out there who are suffering with bad choices, when you can get this bag instead.
Design
As far as design goes, this baby is just awesome. It’s quite bulky with a weight of more than 3 pounds, but with the dimensions of 19.0″ x 13.0″ x 7.75″, it can accommodate most 15’’ laptops. It’s also very easy to use because it has a lot of added comfort to it. The materials used for the bag are trademarks Duralite Ripstop, Waffle Weave, and 600-denier Duralite, which make the bag extremely durable and definitely long-lasting.
Using High Swerve’s trademark Vapel mesh system, the padded back panel and shoulder straps are incorporated with extra comfort and breathability to keep you cool even if you’ve been wearing the bag for a long while. The S-shaped Vapel shoulder straps are also made with the suspension strap system which absorbs weight and lightens your load so you can comfortably carry your bag without any weight problems.
There must be no other bag with as much pockets as this. The Swerve has a lot of pockets where you can sneak in so much stuff. You can even keep extra money in the many hidden and zipped pockets in the bag. The compartments are very organized and easy to use. There are four major compartments: a front mulit-pocket organizer, a higher front pocket, a middle compartment, and the laptop compartment.
The front multi-pocket organizer has spaces for all your essentials like your mobile phone, keys, IDs, pens, pocket notebooks, and the like. The upper front pocket is an easier access area for other small items like your USB device and firewires. The middle compartment is dedicated to textbooks, notebooks, papers, documents, and other files. It’s spacious enough to carry multiple thick books without squeezing your laptop. And the laptop compartment has a padded computer sleeve which keeps your device completely snug and safe, and it’s also designed to fit the laptop regardless of how small or big it may be to keep in closely protected.
Color
The Swerve is a beautiful collection of different colors and prints from which you can choose. The available colors are black; black with vertical plaid black; flint, oyster, and flint; ash and city map; navy, charcoal, and black; blueprint with blue print cartoon clouds; amethyst, purple argyle, and charcoal; amazon, ash, and black; leaf green, white/leaf green cartoon clouds, and ash; and pomodoro and charcoal. You can definitely find your own favorite from these. I took the pomodoro and charcoal (in plain words, red) because it’s a striking hue and it makes the beauty of the bag stand out even more.
Other Features
There are more to the Swerve than just that. With its extra functionality like side mesh water bottle pockets and a music device storage compartment with earphone outlets, using it will be more worthwhile. You can carry two bottles at either side of the bag so there’s no worry getting thirsty even if you’ll be out all day. The music device compartment with earphone outlets allows you to listen to your favorite tracks while on the go. The left shoulder strap also has a cellphone holder to keep your mobile phone always at hand. The bag has side compression straps and a waist strap for a better snug fit, and the bottom also has padding to maintain the condition of the bag and prevent it from getting worn easily. This bag will definitely last for many years if you use it properly.
Conclusion
I wouldn’t trade this for another bag, that’s a fact. The High Sierra Swerve Backpack is an excellent choice. It’s quite expensive, and maybe that’s the only factor that would stop people from getting the bag, but everything else is just perfect. And for the price, I think it’s well worth it because the bag can last for so many years. I’m completely happy with this bag and I hope others will also experience the happiness that I do now.
